ABOUT VINICIUS FARINA

A passionate and dedicated conductor, Vinicius Farina brings a wealth of experience as both a violinist and a musician with a deep commitment to contemporary repertoire. Having transitioned from a successful career as an orchestral violinist to conducting, Vinicius Farina is eager to lead ensembles with insight, energy, and a refined artistic vision.

Vinicius began his musical journey as a violinist at the age of seven, later performing professionally in orchestras across various continents. In 2017, he embarked on a transition into conducting, initially studying under esteemed maestro Jorge Mester in the USA before refining his skills with renowned European professors. This journey culminated in his studies with Arturo Tamayo at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, where he completed the Certificate of Advanced Studies programme in 2020/21.

His experience at CSI played a pivotal role in shaping his artistic philosophy, particularly regarding the role of contemporary music and the unique responsibility of a conductor in bringing modern compositions to life. Through rigorous training and self-evaluation, he has honed both technical proficiency and interpretative depth. Currently, he continues his studies in the Masters programme at the Conservatorio Luca Marenzio in Brescia under the guidance of Mr. Orizio, further developing his conducting craft.

With a strong belief that conductors serve as facilitators in the evolution of musical interpretation, Farina embraces the challenges posed by contemporary repertoire. His goal is to inspire and engage musicians while making modern compositions accessible and compelling for audiences.

Drawing from years of experience within orchestras, he possesses a unique perspective on the essential qualities of a dynamic and effective conductor.

Now seeking his first professional engagement, Vinicius Farina is eager to collaborate with orchestras, choirs and ensembles, bringing his passion, experience, and fresh interpretative approach to the podium. With a dedication to artistic excellence and a deep love for contemporary music, he aspires to cultivate meaningful musical experiences for both musicians and audiences alike.
